Yesterday, participants from the first cohort of Learning Bridge’s “Career Kickstart” program, together with staff from Chow Tai Fook and the SF Family Foundation, visited the University of Hong Kong Libraries’ Preservation and Conservation Center and archives.

Professional conservators at the center shared insightful knowledge about document conservation and restoration. The students gained a deeper understanding of this field — and had the rare opportunity to view centuries-old historical documents outside of a museum setting. To wrap up the visit, everyone took part in a hands-on rubbing activity, transforming what they had learned into practice. The experience helped reinforced the importance of cultural preservation, both in theory and in action.
